Kyle Adler began his martial arts training at 6 years old. Given the choice by his mother to do martial arts or soccer, Mr. Adler chose martial arts because of he wanted to be a Ninja Turtle. His training started with Mr. Ken Lewis in Saugus, Ca. as a child who had difficulty listening and following directions. As Mr. Adler persevered towards new rank, the desire and dedication to his new found passion transformed his focus and mindset. Three years later, he had achieved the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt.
Several years and promotions later, Mr. Adler received his 3rd Degree Black Belt and continued to polish his instruction skills by achieving Level 2 Certified Trainee Instructor as well as a certifying in the Israeli Combat System of Hagganah. With a wide background in different martial arts ranging from Muay Thai Kickboxing to Jiu-Jitsu, Mr. Adler is a complete martial artist who has utilized his skills to compete on a National Level. These skills landed him several television show opportunities.
In 2008, Mr. Adler competed on ABC’s hit reality show “WIPEOUT” and won the GRAND PRIZE. He still holds the 2nd fastest time record for the final event’s obstacle course and states his many years of martial arts training as to why he felt he did so well on the show. Recently, his martial arts skills were highlighted on a T.V. show called “SPORTLETS” which airs on Nickelodeon.
Mr. Adler also enjoys listening to a variety of music genres and attending concerts. His favorite hobby is snowboarding, surfing, playing guitar and watching Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fights
David Engel began his martial arts training his Freshmen year of High School under the tutelage of Mr. Robert Gast. Many of his instructors immediately found that Mr. Engel had a natural talent for Taekwondo. With persistent and vigorous training, he received his 1st Degree Black Belt in only 2 years and had achieved 2nd Degree Black Belt one year later. While assisting with classes, Mr. Engel found a desire to share his talent and experiences with other students. He immediately began teaching and is currently a Level 1 Certified Trainer.
In 2009, Mr. Engel achieved 3rd Degree Black highlighted by displaying several unique board breaks. His martial arts talent led him to be cast in the Nickelodeon show “SPORTLETS”. As an integral part to Gold Medal Martial Art’s instruction team, Mr. Engel is a favorite of the students, and competes on the regional level frequently.
Mr. Engel also enjoys snowboarding, fellowshipping with his friends and working out.
